W. L. Riddle, 78, resident of Ward Ten, Winn Parish, died at the St. Francis hospital, Monroe, February 20. Funeral services were conducted February 22 at the Carolina Cemetery near Saline under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Rev. J. W. Buckner, pastor of the Jonesboro Baptist Church was in charge of the services.
Acting as pallbearers were Robert Riddle, Benson Hallman, J. R. Wally, Don Huddleston, J. B. Robinson, and John Mathews.
Mr. Riddle is survived by his widow, Mrs. Dena Huddleston Riddle; one daughter, Mrs. Clara Bell Williams, Saline; one son, Prentice Riddle, Saline; one sister, three brothers, two grandchildren.
