ARTINSVILLE DAILY BULLETIN, Martinsville, Va., Tue., July 8, 1941.
Mrs. Ada Wingfield Heflin, 40, of Ridgeway, died at Shackelford hospital shortly after noon today. She had been ill for some time. She was the widow of the late John Robert Heflin and was the mother of six children. She was a daughter of Mrs. Mary Motley Wingfield who survives. The six surviving children are John Robert, Jr. and Benjamin Marshall Heflin; and Mary Icelene, Ada Myrtle, Rachel Virginia and Freda Wingfield. Other survivors include the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. B. G. Craig, Martinsville, Mrs. Nannie Eggleston and Miss Mary Wingfield, city Rt. 1; Mrs. Benedict R. DeAngelo, Oneota, N.Y.; Mrs. Robert Urban, Princeton, N. J.; R. L. Wingfield, Hylton Village, Va.; the Rev. Marshall Wingfield, Memphis, Tenn. and W. P. Wingfield, city, Rt. 1. The paper dated July 11th, added that she the final rites were held Thursday at the home of her sister, Mrs. B. G. Craig, Forest avenue and interment was in Oakwood Cemetery].
