Bertha Mary Boerner 77, of 215 Park St., died March 23, 1993 at Sterling Regional MedCenter.
Visitation and viewing will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, at Chaney-Walters Funeral Home chapel. Vigil service will also be Wednesday, at 7 p.m. at Chaney-Walters. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 25, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Celebrant Joseph Blanco will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Ms. Boerner was born to Casper and Anna Nabor Boerner on Dec. 28, 1915, in Olpe, Kan.
She moved to the St. Peter's area with her family where they resided and where she attended Prairie View School. She resided there until moving to Sterling in 1948. She attended Greeley Cosmetology School and worked for Ila's Beauty Shop until her retire ment.
She is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Boerner of Sterling; sister in-law, Emma Boerner of Sterling; nieces Nona Duffield and husband William and Peggy Williams and husband Herb, all of Sterling; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sisters Clara Niessen, Anna Miller, Margaret Wernsman, Katherine Boerner and Sophia Boerner; and brothers Henry, Charles, Ed, Fred and John Boerner.
