J.K. Renfrow, 80, of Arkansas City, died Saturday, July 12, 2008, at the Presbyterian Manor Health Care Unit. Memorial services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2008, at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home. Stephen Butler will officiate. The family will greet friends after the service at 2423 North Estate Drive. J.K. was born May 28, 1928, in Anthony, to Willy and Nanny (Arbel) Renfrow. He was reared and educated in Caldwell. He served in the United States Navy from 1946-49. He married Loral Harper on Dec. 25, 1949, at Caldwell. The couple made their home in Arkansas City. J.K. worked as a truck driver for Rodeo Meats for many years. He also was an independent truck driver for several years and worked for the AC Warehouse before he retired. J.K. was one of a kind and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was a longtime member of the Crescent Lodge No. 133 AF&AM, Midian Shrine of Wichita. Survivors include his wife, Loral; three grandchildren, Todd Tennery, Ashley Galyean and Jason Sprowls; and one sister, Willie Ruth Henry. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Craig; and a sister, Lillian Ball.
