Mrs. Estelle Barrett Allen, 89, of Julius Chambers Rd., Blairsville, Ga., formerly of Gainesville, Ga., died Friday, August 18, 2006 in the Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness.
Mrs. Allen was born July 22, 1917 in Hall County, Ga., the daughter of the late Howard Barrett and the late Lula White Barrett. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley (J.W.) Allen in 1978; son, Bobby Joe Allen in 1995. Mrs. Allen was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006 at 11 a.m. Interment and graveside services followed at 2 p.m. from the Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville.
