Visitation for Avis J. Ader, 80, of Kankakee, will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, where she had been a member since 1963. Father Donald Wehnert will officiate. Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens, Aroma Township. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley, the American Cancer Society, or for Masses at St. Patrick Catholic Church. She died Monday (Feb. 15, 2010) at Riverside Medical Center. Mrs. Ader was retired from Kraft General Foods Promotional Services Center and was a homemaker. She was born June 19, 1929, in Kankakee, the daughter of Earl and Irene Stutz Miller. Her husband, Robert "Peanut" Ader, whom she married Oct. 6, 1956, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, died Oct. 17, 2001. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Timothy "Tim" and Lana Ader of Keller, Texas; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Laurel Wegner of Bradley, Linden "Lindee" and Alan Kutemeier of Momence, Lisa and Chuck Schuelke of Plano, Texas, Lydia and Mike Staniszeski of Bourbonnais, Leslie and Bobby Hart of Midland, Texas; 12 grandchildren, Lisa Kent, Lesli Kent, Benjamin Peters, Spencer Peters, Taylor Staniszeski, Kelsi Staniszeski, Morgan Staniszeski, Samuel Hart, Isabella Hart, Astrid Schuelke, Henry Schuelke, Lennon Wegner; one sister and brother-in-law, Marsha and Bill Boley of Louisville, Ky.; one brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Jan Miller of Georgia; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Duane Miller.
