LaRue Garr Yeates Davis, 92, formally of Harrisonburg, Virginia, died Wednesday, November 1st at Bridgewater Nursing Home. Mrs. Davis was born May 5, 1914, in Millville, Utah and was the daughter of the late Willard and Rosella Gunnell Garr.

Her life was devoted to her family, friends and church as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Much of her early life was spent in Millville, Utah.

Then, after marrying her first husband, Harry Van Yeates, LaRue and Harry moved to California where, for 20 years they raised their two children, Janeal Yeates Cooper and Harry Wayne Yeates.

Subsequent to the death of her first husband, LaRue remarried into the wonderful family of George C. Davis. Over the next 20+ years, she lived in California with them. At the death of George, LaRue moved to Kaysville, Utah to make her home with her daughter Janeal Yeates Cooper. With the passing of her daughter Janeal, LaRue concluded her life's journey in Harrisonburg, Virginia to be watched over by the care of her loving granddaughter Allison Cooper Halling. She lost her son Harry Wayne Yeates while living in Virginia. LaRue's long life made her endure the loss of many close family members and lifetime friends.
