He attended the Park Place Church of God and retired due to his health from Ryder where he was a truck driver for three years. He also had worked for 27 years at Integrity Metals.
He enjoyed spending time with his seven grandchildren in his leisure time.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Sweet Dickey whom he married in Rushville on July 11,1963; a daughter Penney (Jeff) Adams of Berny, IN; sons, Steve (Debbie) Dickey of Richland, Wisconsin, Troy (Renee) Dickey of Janesville, Wisconsin, Brian (Judy) Dickey and Bradley Dickey all of Connersville; brothers, Joseph (Frances) Dickey and Delbert (Judy) Dickey all of Connersville; sister, Phyllis Pugh of Connersville; his seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
