Grace Allphin Accorded Rites

Funeral services were held in the LDS church Wednesday for Mrs. Grace Elizabeth Allphin who died in North Big Horn Hospital, she was 71.

Mrs. Allphin had been a nursing home resident for four years and a resident of Lovell 70 years. She was born Oct, 18, 1893, at Midway, Utah, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adelbert Alexander. She married Owen L. Allphin April 8, 1915 in Salt Lake City. He preceded her in death in 1950.

Survivors include four daughters; Mrs. Royal Bischoff, Lovell, Mrs. Hazel A. Crawford, Oxnard, Calif., Mrs. Grace E. Reid of Hacienda Heights, Calif. and Mrs. Molly Simmons, Salt Lake; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Powelson, Byron, Mrs. Debra Daisley, Everett, Wash., Mrs. Ed Havig and Mrs. Ed Jones of Byron; three brothers Delbert, Alva J. and Frank E. Alexander, all of Byron; 17 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Services were held at 11 a.m. with Bishop Scott M. Welch officiating. Interment was in the Lovell cemetery with Haskell Funeral Home in charge.

Lovell Pioneer Dies at Hospital

LOVELL -- Mrs. Grace Elizabeth Allthim, 71, died in North Big Horn hospital Sunday following a lingering illness. She had been a nursing home resident for the past four years.

Mrs. Allthim had been a Lovell resident for 70 years. She was born Oct. 18, 1893, at Midway, Utah, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adelbert Alexander. On April 8, 1915, she was married in Salt Lake City, Utah to Owen L. Allthim. He died in December, 1950.

Mrs. Allthim was a member of the LDS church.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Royal (Ruth) Bischoff of Lovell, Mrs. Hazel A. Crawford of Oxnard, Calif., Mrs. Grace E. Reid of Hacienda Heights, Calif., and Mrs. Molly Simmons of Salt Lake City; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Powelson of Byron, Mrs. Debra Daisley of Everett, Wash., Mrs. Ed Havig of Byron and Mrs. Ed Jones of Byron; three brothers, Delbert, Alva J. and Frank E. Alexander, all of Byron; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
