The intelligence of the death of Mr. Benjamin Fly, of Williamson County, reached us with sadness. His acquaintance and relationship are quite extensive throughout this county. Out of a family of twelve children, only three are left to mourn his death, Mr. A.J. Fly of Maury, and Mr. Joshua Fly and Mrs. Lizzie Layne of Williamson. His wife also survives him. Mr. Fly, by diligence and thrift, had amassed considerable wealth, his estate being estimated at about $30,000. - Columbia Herald, Dec. 18, 1896.
