FUNERAL HELD FOR MRS. H. HICKS
Madison--Funeral services for Mrs. Herbert Hicks, 46, Madison, were held from the Second Christian Church in Madison, Sunday afternoon.
The service was conducted by Rev. Robert Leach,pastor of the First Christian Church, and Rev. E. K. Burton, pastor of the Second Christian Church of Madison.
The vocal solo, "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" was sung by Mrs. Georgia Evans of Moberly; a song "Well Done" was sung by the Rev. Mr. Burton, Mrs. Ruby Gooch, Mrs. William Shpherd and Mrs. Eugene Clark. "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" was also sung by Mrs. Evans and others. Condolences were reqd by Mrs. Ruby Gooch of the Second Baptist Church of Moberly; the obituary was read by Mrs. Gooch and a vocal duet "Peace in the Valley for Me: was presented by Mrs. Nancy Dixon and Mrs. Lennos Bryant.
Casket bearers were: Oscar Williams, Robert Gooch, Kenneth Logan, Ralph Laster, Hether Carter and Ira Ewing.
Friends and relatives were present from Moberly, Paris, Quincy, Ill., Huntsville, Mexico, Macon and Clarence. Burial was in the Dunaway Cemetery West of Madison, Mo.

Mrs. Hicks'death certificate, #0039198, says she died at University Medical Center, Columbia, Mo., and her parents were Willard and Rose Bassett.
