Daughter of William Frederich Rogge and Augusta Wilhelmina Bohling.

August 18, 1929 - Married Arthur Friedrich Franz Oestmann, son of Ernst Friedrich Franz Oestman and Emma Sophia "Mina" Heidzig.

OBITUARY:
Theresa Maria Emma Rogge, daughter of William F. and Augusta Bohling Rogge, was born June 11, 1906, west of Auburn, NE. She was one of five children.

Theresa was baptized July 1, 1906 at Hickory Grove Lutehran Church and confirmed same church.

She grew up on her parents farm, attended Rohrs rural school and graduated from Auburn high school. She also attended Peru State College, after which she taught in Linden rural school for two years and at Roosevelt for three years.

On August 18, 1929, she was married to Arthur F. Oestmann at Hickory Grove Lutheran Church. Three children were born to this marriage, two daughters and a stillborn son.

For over 30 years, Mrs. Oestmann and her husband lived on farms near Johnson and Auburn, Ne. She assisted her husband in agri-business. In January of 1961, they moved into a new home in Auburn, NE.

She had served as president of Chochran rural school parents, Auburn Woman's Club and Nebraska Wesleyan Phi Mu Soroity Mothers' Club.

She was a 20-year member of the Auburn library board, chairman of the Nemaha County Red Cross and a member of the county Democratic board. In 1964, she attended the ANational Democratic Convention in Atlantic City, N.J.

A lifelong member of St. Paul Hickory Grove Lutheran Church, Theresa joined the Women's Missionary Society in 1945, served as president in 1961-62, was a delegate to the national convention in Milwaukee, served four years as treasurer of the Southeast Nebraska WMF, was president of the Ruth Naomi Circle, taught Sunday schoolfor 30 years and vacation Bible school.

On June 5, 1987, she entered the Good Samaritan Home. She was admitted to Nebraska Methodist Hospital Nov. 27, 1987 with a fractured hip and was transferrred to the Nemaha County Hospital Dec. 11, 1987. It was there she died Jan. 5, 1988 at the age of 81 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, and by her husband, Arthur, who died Oct. 31, 1987.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Richard Alden of Auburn, NE. and Mrs. Robert Seiler of Omaha, NE. four granedchildren; four brothers, Rudolph, Elmer and Bill Rogge of Auburn, Ne. and Lawrence Rogge of Johnson, Ne. other relatives, and a great many friends.

Funeral services were held Jan. 8 at St. Paul Hickory Grove Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. Stephen Nierman.

Pallbearers were Dwaine Rogge, Lynn Rogge, Milton Rogge, Leland Rogge, Ben Rogge, Roger Rogge, Billy Rogge, Randy Rogge and Larry Rogge.

Joyce Erisman, Kathy Todd, Elaine McGrath, Beth Flynn, Susan Kuwitzky and Kristen Rogge assisted with flowers.

Phyllis and Dennis Wesenberg sang, accompanied by Ally Remmers.

Mrs. James Gerking was organist.

Burial was in the church cemetery.
