passed away Friday February 13,
1998 at the Metzmeier Nursing
Home in Campbellsville, Ky.
He was born in Wayne County,
Ky on October 13, 1921, the son of
Marion and Ida Leveridge Abbott.
Both parents preceded him in death.
He married Evelyn Lovins
Shepherd Abbott, who survives.
He is also survived by one
child-Sheila Schmidt of Pittsboro,
Ind, four step-children-Rachel
Brown of New Castle, Ind, Janet
Lester of Monticello, Ky, Joyce
Denney of Leroy, Ill.,and Allen
Shepherd of Huston, Texas, one
grandchild 11 step grandchildren,
18 step great grandchildren, one sister-
Delia Abbott Stevens of
Monticello, Ky ; and many nieces,
nephews, and other relatives.
Preceding him in death is one
brother-John Abbott.
He was a Veteran of the Army
during the Second World War and in
1975 retired from Service Supply of
Indianapolis.
He was baptized in Jesus Name
and received the Holy Ghost around
1970. He was a faithful member of
the Apostolic Church at Cane
Valley, Ky.
Funeral services were held on
Monday, February 16, 1998 at the
Jesus Name Apostolic Church of
Monticello, Ky with Brother Paul
Perkins and Brother James Lovelace
officiating.
Burial was in Ihe Elk Spring
Cemetery.
