J.B. Macklin,an old and highly respected citizen of Cedar township,died at his home on November 5th,1903 after a long
illness of about eleven months. The deceased was born in Columbus Ohio August 28th, 1817. He came to Cedar township,
Smith County Kansas in the year 1878 a wife, five sons and
two daughters are left to mourn his demise. The funeral
services were conducted by Rev. Henslee and the remains
interred in Myers Cemetery near Athol.
