Thomas Washington Cumberland
A heart attack took the life of Thomas Washington CUMBERLAND, 67, at 5 a.m. this morning at the home of his son, Raymond, 3 1/2 miles south of Macy. He had been in ill health for the past two years.
Born April 26, 1881 near Chili, Ind., he resided in Fulton and Miami counties his entire life. He had been living with his children since his wife died in 1942.
A member of the Baptist church in Chili, Ind., he was a retired farmer. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Donald WILSON, Macy, and Mrs. Howard EISENMAN of Rochester, four sons, Acil and Raymond [CUMBERLAND], Macy, and Orville and Norman [CUMBERLAND] of Rochester, two brothers, John [CUMBERLAND], Denver, and Walter [CUMBERLAND], Claypool. He had fifteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cumberland will be taken to the home of his son, Orville, 1227 Elm St., tomorrow morning.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Zimmerman Bros. Funeral home. The Rev. Charles GOLDEN, Denver, Ind., will officiate and burial will be held at the IOOF cemetery in this city.
