Carol Geneva Taylor was born February 22, 1922, to Oscar and Susana (Oraas) Dotseth in Friendship Township. She was baptized and confirmed at Spring Creek Lutheran Church and graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1940. She left High School to attend Norwegian American School of Nursing in Chicago where she graduated. Upon graduation she went back to Minneapolis where she was a nurse in the cancer ward for many years at the University of Minnesota and Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Following her time there she also worked for the State of Minnesota until her retirement about 30 years ago.
Carol owned a triplex home in the Lake Calhoun area on Humboldt Avenue where she was her own handyman, doing her plumbing and repairs. She also owned a fourplex on 32nd and Columbus that she managed and rented out. She was talented in gardening, refurbishing furniture and maintaining repairs in her homes. Her last home was in Shakopee where lived until her passing on January 25th.
Carol was married to Charles Taylor and Harold Burkhardt, both marriages ending in divorce.
She was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Suzie Dotseth and all her siblings Raymond, Evalyn Isaacs, Raymond, Irma Getty, Nuel, Owen, Esther Barrett, Oscar (Bud), and Wanda Remmen.
Carol is survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.
