He married Nina Eva Hankins Saturday 23 Aug 1919 at the Buckley Congregational Parsonage in Buckley. They moved to Flint then to Coldwater then to Buckley. He was a Private in the US Army during World War I. From Apr 1951 to Apr 1966, he drove school bus.

Ralph Clyde Byers died Saturday 8 Nov 1975 at the age of 78 y 2 m 22 d in Traverse City from Hepatic Failure. Survivors included his wife, Nina; and 1 son, Leroy Raymond 'Roy' & Amybell Catherine Byers.

Funeral services were Monday 10 Nov 1975 at Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley.

Burial was in Block A Lot 42 Plot 1 in Sherman-Mesick Memorial Cemetery in Mesick. The plot was owned by Ralph Byers. His stone says Father.
