Angela Veronica Berger was a sickly child and when her parents, Johann and Crescenze (Wismaier) Berger, emmigrated to America in 1884, Angela stayed with relatives in Germany. Later when Johann wanted to go back to Germany to get her, she didn't want to come to America. She stayed in Germany and became a Catholic Nun. She made her Profession of Faith on July 22, 1902, and was known as Sr. M. Angela Berger O.S. Fr.
