Roscoe Orval "Ross" Doty was born Feb. 9, 1890 at Turon, Kan., and died suddenly in his home

He was a son of Wesley B. and Lydia C. McOsker Doty.

Doty was married to Ethel Cora Parson at Dacoma on Dec. 25, 1911, and had lived in the Hopeton and Greensburg area since 1905, moving to Waynoka in 1960. He was a member of the Church of God.

Survivors include his wife Ethel of the home; two sons, Clifford (Ada) of White Deer, Tex., and Harvey (Blondie) of Wichita, Kan., a daughter, Mrs. Lorene (Dwight) Beecher, Pasadena, Calif., a brother Tom Doty, of Twin Falls, Idaho, a sister, Clara Quinn of Waynoka; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
