Funeral services for Mrs. Terressie Reeves, 70, who died in the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, were held Saturday in the Braggadocio Church with the Rev. Joe James officiating. Burial was in Maple Cemetery with H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville in charge of arrangements.
She was born July 29, 1903, in Pemiscot County, the daughter of the late Albert and Amanda Blankenship. On August 17, 1922, she married Clarence Dewitt Reeves in Braggadocio. He preceded her in death January 9, 1970.
She attended schools in Braggadocio and was a member of the Braggadocio Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons: Charles Reeves of Jonesboro, Ark., James Reeves of Littleton, Colorado, William Reeves of St. Louis, and Eldon Reeves of Memphis; one daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Baynes of St. Louis; one sister, Mrs. Georgia Baker of Kennett; 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Pallbearers were Joe Bob Coppage, Joe Crain, Bob Dick Long, Charles Albert Faris, Doyle Southerland and Edwin Huffman.
