Robert L. Bultemeier, 75 of rural Decatur passed away at his home on May 13, 2009. He was born on February 5, 1934 in Wells County, Indiana to the late Theodore and Mildred (Martin) Bultemeier. On December 9, 1972 he married Juanita Sapp. She survives.
Other survivors are four sons Jim R. Sowards of Decatur, David (Deb) Sowards of Decatur, Steve A. Bultemeier of Decatur and Scott (Yvette) Hunt of Dallas, TX; four daughters Karen (Denny) Cookson , Linda (Randy) Geyer, Kris (Tyler) Sheets and Sandra Jo (Mike) Inniger all of Decatur; a brother Donald (Sara) Bultemeier of Decatur; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death.
Robert attended Common Grounds Church in Decatur and was self-employed in Construction. He was a member of the American Legion Post #43 and served in the Korean War during 1956-1958 in the United States Army.
Visitation is 2-8 pm Friday, May 15, 2009 at Common Grounds Church and 1 hour prior to services at the church. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am Saturday, May 16, 2009 at the church. Pastor Jerry Setser will be officiating and burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. Military Graveside rites by American Legion Post 43. Memorials are to Common Grounds Church or Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana.
