Charles taught school for several years and then went into banking upon the organization of the Central State Bank of Connersville, Indiana. He married Miss Edith Holland [on September 17, 1891 in Fayette Co., Indiana]. They had no children. He died in May of 1931 and she seven months later, in January of 1932.
