GREENSBORO BEND - Dennis Paul Bellavance, 56, of Greensboro Bend, died Saturday, June 6, 2009, at his residence.

He was born March 15, 1953, in Hardwick, the son of Alphonse and Jennie (Hogoboom) Bellavance. He graduated from Hazen Union School in 1972.

On April 4, 1973, he married Sarah Jane Hill in Greensboro, where they lived for most of their married life.

In his earlier years he worked for Den's Cylinder Service in Greensboro Bend. For more than 25 years he worked as a logger and truck driver in Colorado and Vermont. He retired in the early 1990s due to failing health. He enjoyed the time that he spent with his children, grandchildren and large extended family, gardening and animals.

Survivors include his wife of Greensboro Bend; two children, Hannah Bellavance of Greensboro and Seth Bellavance of Greensboro Bend; two grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Bellavance, Ronald Bellavance and Raymond Bellavance, all of Hardwick; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father Alphonse on June 17,1999, his mother Jennie on March 26, 2009, and an infant brother Roland.

To honor his request there will be no public visiting hours. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 10, at 2 p.m. in the Stannard Cemetery in Stannard.
