Death of William Buck
William Buck, a carpenter by trade, died at his home, No. 614 Constitution street, last evening at 10 o'clock, after a lingering illness. The deceased was born June 21, 1823, in Beaver county, Pennsylvania, and was 76 years of age. He is survived by his wife, whom he married fifty-three years ago, in Richmond county, Ohio, where he spent most of his life. He had lived in this city for the past seventeen years and was a well known and highly respected citizen. He was an old solider, having served three years in Company I, 120th regiment, Ohio volunteers, and was a prisoner in the rebel prison at Tyler, Texas, for thirteen months.
Funeral services will be held at the United Presbyterian church, on Neosho street, and the remains will be laid to rest in Maplewood cemetery. The time of the services will be announced later.
