ADAMS, ROY E. - age 79, of Knoxville, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at U.T. Hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Paralee Adams. Also preceded by brothers, James Herbert Adams and Charles Adams, Jr. Survived by children: Eddie Adams, Melissa Adams, and Tina King. Also survived by one grandchild; brothers and sisters: Clyde Adams, Frank Adams, Leonard Adams, Robert Adams, Macil Brooks, Ann Craft and Margaret Goins. several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Friday, Sept. 5, 2008 from 6-8pm at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8:00pm with Rev. Elbert Barlow officiating. The interment will be on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008 at 1:00pm in the Skaggs Memorial Cemetery, Maynardville, TN. McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Roy E. Adams.
