Mrs. Laura Brown, former Broken Bow, Neb. resident died in Oklahoma City, OK. Her body was returned to Broken Bow for funeral Monday at First Baptist and burial here also.

Nee Laura A. Graves, she was born in Hamilton Co, NY, Jan. 10, 1855, died General Hospital, Oklahoma City, OK, Jan 24, 1929 aged 74 yrs 14 days. When a mere child, moved with parents to near Council Bluffs, Iowa. Oct 3, 1874 she married to Samuel A. Miller and young couple moved to Aurora, NE, in 1880, moved to Broken Bow, NE where they resided until his death in 1888.

In 1894 she with 3 children moved to Sedgwick County, Kansas, and in 1903 she moved to Newton, KS. May 11, 1905, she married Josephus Brown. He preceded her in death 3 years ago.

She converted at 14 and joined the Baptist Church. She and Mr. Miller were charter members of Broken Bow 1st Bapt. Church. Mrs. Brown made a positive contribution to Christianity by her quiet godly life. All who knew her loved her.

Laura was the mother of three children: Leslie, Eunice, and Samuel.
