AMSTERDAM EVENING RECORDER, MONDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 1931

Alton Dingman, aged 20, a former resident of Fort Plain, died at the Onondaga sanatorium In Syracuse Sunday afternoon after a brief illness, of a complication of diseases. He was born in the town of Canajoharie and was the son of Curtis Dingman of this village. He was educated in the public schools of Fort Plain, but about two years ago moved to Syracuse . He is survived by his parents and several brothers and sisters. The remains were brought to the undertaking parlors of A. G. Schwartz & Son In this village and the funeral will be held at the First Baptist church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. C R. Hamilton officiating. The remains will be placed in the vault of the Catherine Nellis memorial chapel for interment in the spring.
