Mr. and Mrs. Black to celebrate 60th wedding anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. N. W. "Fritz" Black are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this month.
N. W. "Fritz" Black and the former Mary Jane Parrish were married July 9, 1926 at Sulphur. They have one daughter, Opal Dodson, and two sons, Tommie and Billy Black, all of Davis, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
They will be honored at a reception Sunday, July 6, in the home of their daughter, Mrs. Dodson, at 606 South Sixth Street in Davis. Friends and relatives are invited to drop by between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. to join in the celebration.

Funeral services for Janie Black, 80, Davis, were December 26 at Fox Funeral Chapel with Reverend Finis Steelman and Reverend Rick Vermillion officiating. Interment was at Green Hill Cemetery with Fox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Black was born May 7, 1910 at Nebo and died December 24 at Burford Manor. She was married to Neal "Fritz" Black, July 9, 1926 at Sulphur. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; a daughter, Opal Dodson of Davis; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tommie and Stella Black of Davis, and Billy and Vi Black of Pittsburg, KS; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Hollis Roden, Joe Lee Cross, Buck Wilson, Pete Byrd, Jerry Pullen and David Webb; members of the First Baptist Church Sunday School which Mr. Black attends.
