OBITUARY:
Alberta Marietta Emmaline Stutheit, daughter of John Christopher (J.C.) and Emma Elizabeth Koehler Stutheit, was born June 25, 1913 on a farm in Nemaha County near Elk Creek.

One of five children she received her education at the Grove Rural School District 44 near Elk Creek. She was baptized as an infant at the Stutheit Church near Auburn and confirmed at the same church June 19, 1927.

Nov. 1, 1934, Alberta was married to Erhardt Oestmann at the Stutheit Church, Three children were born to this union. Erhardt died Aug. 19, 1982.

Alberta was employed by Oestmann and Rice for 25 years as a woodwork finisher. She was a member of the St. Paul (Hickory Grove)Lutheran Church near Auburn and of Ruth-Naomi Circle.

Oestmann had lived at home until March 1994, when she was admitted to the Nemaha County Hospital. She then became a resident of the Nemaha County Good Samaritan Center April 25, 1994 and it was there that she died Oct. 21, 1994. She had reached the age of 81 years, three months, and 26 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, an infant son, and an infant granddaughter.

Surviving are her two daughters, Elaine Hunnel of Vancouver, WA., and Marjorie Laflin of Crab Orchard, Ne. five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Ella Eggers and Laura Eggers of Auburn, and Betty Halverstadt of Tecumseh, Ne. a brother, Norman Stutheit of rural Humboldt,Ne. a brother-in-law, Norvel Oestmann, Johnson, Ne. three sisters-in-law, Luella Oestmann and Marie Oestmann of Auburn, and Elta Bohling of Ruskin; other relatives, and many friends.

Services were held at St. Paul Lutheran Hickory Grove Church Oct. 25, conducted by Rev. Norman Sulaica. Pallbearers were Gene Hunnel, James Hunnel, Matthew Taylor, Keith Sewell, Brett VanWinkle, and Daryl Stutheit. Galen Eggers, Dennis Eggers, Larry Eggers and Kurt Stutheit were honorary pallbearers. Deanne Gerking was organist; Andy Oestmann and Allyn Remmers, Vocalist.

Interment was in the St. Paul Lutheran Hickory Grove Cemetery, rural Auburn, NE.
