Campobello, SC - Funeral services for Mrs. Lula Cromer, age 63, who died on Sunday, Jan. 18, 1942, where conducted Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1942 at 2 o'clock in Motlow Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Walter Harrison and the Rev. Tom Neely. Interment was in the Church Cemetery. Survivors included: one son, Sgt. William "Bill" Cromer, who was stationed with the U. S. Infantry in Iceland; two brothers, E. G. and A. G. Sherbert. Active pallbearers were Earl Odom, Allen Campbell, Newton Fisher, R. P. Davis, Edward Brashears and Wiley Solesbee. The following were asked to meet at the Church to form the honorary pallbearers, Willie Clayton, Harvey West, Robert West, Leroy Fisher, Joe Atkins, A. F. Atkins, J. H. Mills, Boyd Mills, L. A. Ballew, Ellis Rogers and Dr. George E. Thompson.
