Charles Lassiter, 95, of Holcomb, Mo., died Sunday, December 16, 2007, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born March 3, 1912, in Pontotoc, Miss., he was the son of the late Donas Houston and Corro Lea Watson Houston.
On March 22, 1934, he married Susie Estelle Hicks, who preceded him in death on March 1, 1945. He was also preceded in death by one son, Thomas Richard Lassiter, one brother, Carl Lassiter; three sisters survives, Jinny Lincoln, Mary Dee and Willa, of Southhaven, Miss., two daughters, Anita Emmons and husband, H.D. of Holcomb and Doris Evan and husband, Herman, of Kennett, 15 granddhildren and 22 great-grandchildre, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., today, Tuesday, December 18, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial was in Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville, Mo.

Charles Lassiter, 95, of Holcomb, Mo., died Sunday, December 16, 2007, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
