Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Neller Funeral Home for Mrs.
Alburkie DuBois, 56, of Danby township, who was fatally injured in an auto
accident last Thursday evening.

Surviving are the husband, Ellsworth; five sons, Harold of Lansing; James of
Decatur, Ga., Vernon of R-1, Grand Ledge, Donald and Fred both of Mulliken;
six daughters, Mrs. Vera McQueen of Portland, Mrs. Ethel Engel and Mrs.
Marilyn Lumbert, both of Mulliken, Mrs. Barbara Reed of Grand Ledge, Mrs.
Evelyn Cramer of Mulliken and Sharon at home.

There are 32 grandchildren and two brothers, Miner Johnson of Port Angela,
Wash. And Carl Walburn of Detroit.

Mrs. DuBois, who was riding alone, hit a slippery spot on Sanborn road, south
of Portland, and her car crashed into two trees, according to state police.
The wreck was discovered by Harold Aungst, who called police. Her death was
the 11th on Ionia county roads during 1957.

The Rev. John Kennedy of Lansing officiated at services, and burial was in
Danby cemetery. Bearers were Harold, Vernon, Fred, James and Donald DuBois
and Frank Lumbert.
