Lucille Hix of Williston died Sunday at North Florida Regional Medical Center. She was 76.
Mrs. Hix was born in Georgia and moved to Williston from the Ocala National Forest 15 years ago.
She was a retired retail sales clerk.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Williston and was a columnist for the Williston Pioneer newspaper. She loved to quilt, read and crochet.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Charles Hix of Williston; daughters Fay Richardson of St. Clair Shores, Mich., and Carolyn Murphy of Trinity, Texas; a son, Charles E. Hix II of Brighton, Mich.; sisters Mae Wehunt of Georgia and Agnes Parm of Michigan; brothers Grover Dinsmore of Georgia and William J. Robinson of South Carolina; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
