John Andrew Holifield- a native and lifelong resident of Mobille, AL, departed this life on June 28, 2009 at the age of 52. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Holifield. He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Georgia Malone Holifield, grandmother, Alvie V. Hill, three sons, John Taylor and Maurice Times of Mobile, AL, Dante Holifield, Boston, MA, two daughters, April Tims and Johnita Tims of Mobile, AL, four brothers, Booker T. Holifield, Sr. (Melvina), Robert Lee Holifield, Vernell Holifield, and Micahel Holifield (Cheryl), and two sisters, Ramona Burroughs and Jenifer Northington (Kenneth) all of Mobile, AL. ten grandchildren, and a host of neices, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be on Friday, July 3, 2009 at the St. Joseph M.B. Church, 661 South Broad St., Mobile, AL from 9am until the 11 o'clock funeral hour. Dr. James C. Taylor, Jr. officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Joe-Joe's Mortuary, 2303 Halls Mill Rd., Mobile, AL 36606. Interment at Lawn Haven Cemetery, Theodore, AL.
