Jesse Annis was born at Bradford, MA, the son of John and Abigail (Rolfe) Annis. Jesse was reportedly a tanner by trade, and removed to Londonderry, NH before the American Revolution. It was there that he signed the Association Test in 1776, a document that which identified him as a patriot.
Jesse sold his property at Londonderry on May 5, 1789, and removed to Fairlee, VT, and than later (1794) to Vershire, VT. He is buried at Post Mills cemetery at Thetford.
