She married Ignatz Flax on Nov. 4, 1913 in Ellis. He died on May 1, 1973. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosie Berens.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and the Third Order of St. Francis.
Survivors include six daugthers, Anna Geist, WaKenney, Catherine Dinkel, Regina and Mary Schuster and Bertha Riedel, all of Ellis, and Ida Mae Windholz, Ogallah; four sisters, Frances Honas and Sophia Augustine, both of Ellis, Martha Weber and Anna Carver, both of Kansas City, Mo.; 51 grandchildren and 99 great-grandchildren.
