Died, at her home in our city, at about 11:00 o'clock, Monday morning, May 2, 1932, Mrs. Mary McCaughey, relict of the late Emmett McCaughey, at the ripe old age of 69 years, 11 months and 18 days.
Annis Mary See was born May 14, 1862 at Sugar Creek, Kentucky. She came to Oklahoma with other members of the See family in time to be listed as an 89'er. She resided for a time in Oklahoma City, when it was a new town.
Forty-one years ago she was united in marriage with Emmett McCaughey of the Erin Springs community; her home since was in that neighborhood and in Lindsay. Her husband passed away a number of years ago in Lindsay.
Surviving members of the McCaughey children are John, Emmett and Claude; Mrs. Fred Charles, Mrs. L. M. Williamson, Mrs. J. J. Ewert and Mrs. R. H. Spalding. Deceased is survived also by three sisters and four brothers, namely: Mrs. Almeda Stephenson, Fort Mitchell, Kentucky; Mrs. Bettie Stephenson, Ludlow, Kentucky; Mrs. Addie Ewing, Washington, Oklahoma; R. A. See, Cyril, Oklahoma; Frank See, McAllen, Texas; George and Chas. See, Lindsay.
