Alexander J. Brown
Alexander J. Brown, 86, of W. Fourth St. died Sunday at 11:23 a.m. at City Hospital, where he had been admitted earlier following an apparent heart attack. Virtually a lifelong area resident, Mr. Brown was born Feb. 12, 1898, a son of Harris Brown and Sylvia Mendes Brown. He was retired as owner of Potters Collection Bureau. Mr. Brown was reported as East Liverpool's first Cub Scout master with a pack at St. Aloysius School. He was a member of the East Liverpool Lions Club and the Beth Shalom Temple, where he was former president of its congregation and a board member of the B'Nal Brith. Besides his wife, Mrs. Dolores Allison Brown at home, survivors include a son, David M. Brown of Phoenix, Ariz.; and four grandchildren. Services are to be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Burial is to be in Columbiana County Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon and night.
