Nadeen Ward Gillooly, age 83, of San Antonio, TX, formerly of Murphysboro, died at 4:05 a.m. Wednesday Sept 20, 2000 in North Central Baptist Hospital in San Antonio.

She was born June 12, 1917 in Murphysboro, the daughter of James Walter and Dora Carter Ward. Prior to moving to San Antonio, Nadeen had spent most of her life in Murphysboro, but also spent 12 years living in the Panama Canal Zone.

She was a retired bookkeeper and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Murphysboro. She also operated a Hair salon in Murphysboro in the 1960's.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Eugene Gillooly of San Antonio; two sons, Ronald E. Hagler of Westlake Village, Calif and Daniel R. Hagler of Dallas; two daughters, Georgia Lee Herring of Charlotte, N.C. and Karen Braswell of San Antonio; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grand children; four greet-great-grandchildren; one brother, Leslie Ward and one sister, Chresta Lockard, both of Murphysboro.

She preceded in death by her parents, tree brothers, Elmer, Laverne (Soggy) and Ray Ward; one sister, Naomi Holliday, a grandson, Ronald Bradfield Hagler, and a great-grandson, Timothy MacBeth.
