Elizabeth's father had a water mill near what is now Capel Mill Road in Richmond County, NC. The mill rock has been placed beside the road near where the mill was located and across the road from the Capel Family Cemetery. Elizabeth married Matthew Covington and in 1836 they had moved to Lannahessee, Georgia. Matthew was killed by Indians and Elizabeth and her children moved back to Richmnd County NC.
The children were: Wilson, Annie Elizabeth, Calvin, Terrell, Thomas Matthew, John, Henry, John A. The order of birth is uncertain.
John A. and his family along with Wilson, moved to Tippah County, Mississippi between 1850 and 1860.
