Funeral services for Robert F. Wooley, 70, were held on Monday, April 12, at 2:00 p.m., from the Ott & Lee Chapel at Morton with Rev. Herman Kelly, and Rev. Bill Hegwood officiating. officiating. Interment followed In the. Dukes Cemetery In Smith County. Wooley passed away Sunday, at Scott County Hospital, following an extended illness. A retired carpenter and farmer, he lived most of his life in Morton, and had formerly lived in Pelahatchie and Jackson. Mr. Wooley was a member of White Oak Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Mattie Bounds Wooley, Morton; one sons, Houston Wooley, Morton; one daughter, Mrs. Bobble Hart, Plain, Ms.; one brother, Durwood Wooley, Morton; one sister, Mrs. Florine (sic Florene) Everett, Morton; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. great-grandchild. great-grandchild.
Active pallbearers were Thomas Nelson Everett, Malcolm Wooley, Luroy Hart, Dathan Hart, Thomas Graham, Carl Harris, Luther Tuberville, and Junior Hammons.
Honorary pallbearers were Bill Everett, Frank Everett, Sam Hart, and Dr. Pede and the Staff of the Rankin General Hospital.
