GEORGE SHAWL
George M. Shawl, 93, of Jefferson Hills, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, in Marflak Personal Care Home in Finleyville. Oldest member of Jefferson Hills Lions Club, he was a member of the Order of Junior Mechanics, Clairton Area Chapter 1612, American Association of Retired Persons and the Circle Club and a life member of Wilson Presbyterian Church.
Born in Wilson, July 13, 1909, he was the son of the late George E. and Emma Davis Shawl and husband of the late Annabelle Wilson Shawl and Evalyn McPherson Shawl. He is survived by children, George E. Shawl of Elizabeth Twp., Beckie Paulick of Baldwin and Martha Beachy of Jefferson Hills; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; brother Willian Shawl of Wilson and Alberta Prout of Jefferson Hills.
Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasant Hills. Service will be conducted there Saturday at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Ben Robinson. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Park, Plesant Hills. The family has suggested memorial contributions to Jefferson Hills Lions Club or Wilson Presbyterian Church.
