ROBERT BROWN, Sr.
Robert Brown, Sr. one of the oldest and best known residents of the Monongahela valley, died on Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Roy Hare, of Lock No. 3. He was born in England in 1844, and was aged 77 years, six months and eight days. He came to America when a boy and had resided in and around Lock No. 3 practically all his life. He is survived by the following children. Mrs. William Curry, of New England, Pa.; Mrs. James Sneed, of Butler; Mrs. George Carnahan, of Versailles; Mrs. Ralph Simmons, of Lincoln Place; Mrs. Finney Voelkel, of Wilson; Mrs. Percy Ellenwood, of Vermont; Mrs. L.G. Rothey and Mrs. Roy Hare, of Lock No. 3 and Robert Brown, Jr., of Wilson; also by ? grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. The funeral services were held at the home of his son, Robert, of 416 Fourth avenue, Wilson yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment was in Lebanon cemetery.
