Guy Cooper, 61, of Detroit, a former resident and owner of a gas station in Beaverton, died on Saturday, Oct.11, at Northville following an illness of three years. He was born in Beaverton on September 12, 1897. While in Detroit he was employed as a cab driver for the Checker Cab Co.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Cooper, of Detroit; one son, Russell, of Shreveport, La.; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Poulin and Mrs. Ethelyn Small, of Muskegon; and two sisters, Edith Cooper of Oak Park and Mrs. Lyman Small of Detroit.
Funeral services are being held this afternoon (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home. The Elder Alva Pendleton will officiate and burial will be in Beaverton cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 10-15/1958 Column – 7 Page – 1.
