Clyde H. Morris

Clyde Harlow Morris, 70, 107 N. Franklin Drive, died Thursday night in a local hospital after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. in Echols Eccles] Church in Huger. Burial, directed by Walters Funeral Home, will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Morris was born in Charleston County, a son of the late Harvey A. and Frances Thomas Morris. He was a retired employee of Davey Tree co. and had also worked as a security guard. He was a member of Echols [Eccles] Church of Huger, a Master Mason and member of Walhalla Lodge No. 66 AFM. Prior to moving to Florence three years ago, he had lived in Mt. Pleasant and had served with the Army during World War II.

Surviving are seven sisters, Mrs. Manning Brunson of Florence, Mrs. Curtis Hinson of Fair Bluff, N.C., Mrs. Willard Thomas of Huger, Mrs. Ethel Black and Mrs. Eddie Ialer [Iller] both of Goose Creek, Mrs. John Crum of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Mel Bryant of Charleston; six brothers, Cecil E. Morris of Islandton, Virgil O. Morris of Charleston, Frank S. Morris of Irmo, William S. Morris of Lake Lure, N.C., Harvey A. Morris of Moncks Corner and John D. Morris of Goose
Creek.
