LAKE CITY--Monty I. Anderson, 48, died Wednesday in a Columbia Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Thurdday in the Lake City Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Lake City Cemetery, directed by Floyd-McCutcheon Funeral Home.

Mr. Anderson was born in Florence Coutny, a son of the late Oscar Thomas and Sarah Gaskins Anderson. He was owner and operator of a produce trucking lines. He servied in World War II.

Syrviving are: his widow, Mrs. Sarah McCutcheon Anderson; two sons, Sammy Anderson and Robert Anderson, both of Lake City; two daughters, Miss Sheliah Anderson of New Orleans, La., Miss Monnie Elizabeth Anderson of Lake City; two brothers, Woodson Anderson and Joe Anderson of Lake City; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret McClam of Lake City, Mrs. Alvin E. Cooke of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. J.S. Rudder of Oxford, NC and Mrs. T.L. Willis of Washington, DC.
