Obituary / January 5, 1962 / Mrs. Callaway Dies Suddenly - Mrs. Mary Corine Callaway of 602 South Main Street, Greensboro, passed away at her home Wednesday morning, Jan. 3rd. Mrs. Callaway was born Jan. 1, 1882 in Greene County, the daughter of Molly Wilson Langford and James C. Langford of Penfield. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Leila Mae Spoon of High Point, N.C., and Mrs. Jessie Dell Collins of Decatur, Ga.; six sons, James L. Callaway of High Point, N.C., John Beamon, Willie R., Reuben P. Julius M., and Bennie Lee Callaway, all of Greensboro; sister, Mrs. Dell McCollum, Smyrna, Ga.; brother, Nathen L. Langford, Union Point; 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Jan. 4, 1962 at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Interment in City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be M.D. Weinstein, W.B. Caldwell, R.M. McCommons, Miles W. Lewis, George Mullins and Lewis Brown.
