James Thomas Bingle was born in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana to James M. F. Bingle and Mary Belle Dawson. He married Pinkey Coffey the daughter of Hugh Coffey and Lillian Franks. Together James Thomas and Pinkey had 12 children. They are:
