Mr. Dana Bernat Hackman, 54, of Grenada, died Monday, June 29, 2009, at his residence.
Mr. Hackman was born Dec. 25, 1954, to Willis H. and Joanne Bernat Hackman in St. John's Newfoundland. He was as a former banker at Union Planters and Sunburst. Always outgoing, he was an avid tennis player and an active Boy Scouts leader. He earned his Bachelors degree at Middle Tennessee State University and an MBA at Tennessee State University. Dana was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 3, 2009, at 10:30 a.m., at All Saints' Episcopal Church with the Rev. Walton Jones officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery.
Mr. Hackman is survived by his parents, Willis H. and Joanne Bernat Hackman of Clarksville, Tenn.; one son, Leeds C. Hackman of Oxford; one sister, Dawn Redmond of Eads, Tenn.; one brother, Dr. Bela B. Hackman, M. D. of Memphis; and nieces and nephews, Olivia and Will Hackman, Dustin, Nicholas, and Brittany Redmond. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lane C. Hackman.
Garner-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
