In loving memory of my grandfather, Nathaniel McWhorter Banks, b 1892 Gadsden, Ala., d 1950 Bartow, Polk Co., Fla. He was s/o Thomas Charles Banks, & wife, Jessie Lenora (McWhorter) Banks of Gadsden, Ala. He married 1911, Birmingham, Ala., at Glen Iris Park, home of the bride, Marion Robinson, d/o Dr. Elisha Miller Robinson, & wife, Leila Wetona (Prince) Robinson; they were divorced in 1935. He lived in Birmingham, Ala., and subsequently in Tampa, Fla., and Bartow, Polk Co., Fla. In Birmingham he was in the insurance business for many years. At the time of his death he was survived by brothers, Thomas C. & Samuel Alston Banks, and by sister, Jessie (Banks) Holloway. He was also survived by one son, Thomas Robinson Banks, of Lakeland, Fla., and one daughter, Marion (Banks) Middleton, of Birmingham, Ala., and several grandchildren. He was predeceased by one son, Nathaniel Marvin Banks. He was survived by many nieces and nephews.
